Ecclesiastical
The ecclesiastical sector requires particular knowledge and expertise to understand the sensitive and unique working practices and consents processes. We have many years of experience in working directly with Parishes and Dioceses providing a variety of professional services including building surveys, specifying and managing repairs, designing reordering and new build schemes, party wall services, sustainability and monitoring of development projects.
Quinquennial Surveys
Ryan Bunce is an appointed Quinquennial Inspector for a number of Anglican churches under the Care of Churches and Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Measure 1991 and provides five yearly inspections to report on the condition and identify required remedial repair and maintenance works.
Scaffold Licenses
We are experienced in acting on behalf of Parochial Church Councils in liaising with adjoining owner’s or their appointed agent in the negotiation and preparation of Heads of Terms for scaffold licenses where adjoining owner’s propose to oversail church land.
We negotiate the extent of the agreeable oversail, duration, protection measures to land and buildings, and appropriate licence fee and considerations.
Our Heads of Terms are submitted to the appointed legal consultant to be formalised into a Scaffold License, which in turn is submitted to the Diocesan Registry to obtain Faculty consent.
Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) Submissions and Faculty Petitions.
Where proposed works require Faculty consent under the Anglican consent procedures, we are experienced in preparing and collating documentation to be submitted to the Diocesan Advisory Committee and to make site presentations to the visiting Committee members.
We also prepare and submit Faculty Petitions on behalf of Parochial Church Councils.
