Built Heritage & Conservation
The historic environment requires specialist knowledge and understanding to ensure the continued and sustainable use, management, repair and alteration of the heritage assets is safeguarded for future generations to enjoy and appreciate.
We have developed our specialist heritage technical expertise by Ryan Bunce undertaking the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors post graduate diploma in the Conservation of Historic Environment.
Our experience ranges in a variety of historic properties with differing uses, such as places of worship, country houses, office, retail and education.
We provide building conservation advice and management services in the design, reordering, change of use, refurbishment and repair of historic assets through all stages of a project.
Our core services include:
- Conservation Management Plans
- Heritage Impact Assessments
- Design and Specification for the repair and maintenance of historic assets and sites
- Listed Building and Conservation Area Consent applications
- Close working relationships with other conservation specialist consultants and craftsmen.
- Design advice
- Grant funding advice
Our Conservation Management Plans and Heritage Impact Assessments identify the significance and values of a historic asset, provide advice on managing change to historic buildings and sites, and the impact of proposed development, refurbishment or alteration schemes which might affect the character of an historic building or site.
We provide advice and formulate strategies and procedures for the maintenance and sustainable repair of historic assets and sites so that owners and managers can make informed judgements and decisions on budget expenditure and proposed works.
